  • Couple Slain, 911 Couldn’t Find Them August 11, 2010
It’s time for America to wake up and realize that we’re not without a way to help our 911 heroes get there faster. Last Friday (Aug 6th) the Martins of Sutter County, California were murdered in their home despite managing to make a 911 call before the crime could be carried out. Read the Appeal-Democrat […]
  • No 911 location from cell phone calls? We beg to differ. August 4, 2010
Today’s article entitled “No 911 location from cell phone calls” comes to us via The Democrat.  It frames calling 911 from one’s cell phone as a problem because of a common problem of accurately locating where the call is originating since a cell phone is not tethered to any landlines. That is, back in the […]

About

Transforming cell phones into personal safety devices

SafeKidZone built an advanced, mobile personal safety software that works on any cell phone. It utilizes the latest cell phone, wireless, global positioning and broadband technologies to safeguard teens and preteens wherever they go.

Saving Lives

We put a “Panic Button” on the cell phone that can be used when in danger. By pressing that Panic Button, a preselected group of family, friends, neighbors and our Call Center (Safety Network) are alerted by text message and email. Pressing the Panic Button also opens a conference call that any member of their Safety Network can join in, find out what’s going on and coordinate action. If needed, our Call Center can escalate the call to the nearest 911 Dispatcher in seconds with full particulars on the child (recent photos, height, weight, blood type, GPS location, contact info, etc.), greatly reducing emergency response time and potentially saving a life. Other included features, such as Crime Data map, Sex Offender map, and Threat Levels improve parents’ and kids’ situational awareness of any given location, steering them from harm’s way.

Parents Concerned about Child Safety

SafeKidZone started as a group of concerned parents whose kids were becoming independent teens. We parents wanted to facilitate that independence but do so in a responsible manner that reduces kids’ vulnerability when away from home and increases their confidence while improving communication. Then we read the story about Lily Burk and realized there must be a better way to safeguard our kids.

We know that in today’s world protecting your kids is not as simple as it once was. We felt that, if given the opportunity and means, anyone would help protect a kid from danger.

We feel that SafeKidZone is the best way today to enhance the safety of children and give parents peace of mind.
